In the United States, breast cancer accounts for 30% of new diagnoses in women each year. And while both men and women can be diagnosed with breast cancer, the disease occurs more in women than men. The number of people diagnosed with breast cancer every year is around 240,000 people, according to the CDC, and approximately 42,000 women die of the disease compared to 500 men.

Painted Pink, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering millennials to take charge of their breast health. We support millennials with access to mentors, resources, and medical professionals who understand the intersection of breast health and the realities of breast cancer for this generation. Breast exams are recommended to be completed monthly for men and women. For those who menstruate, a breast exam should be completed 3-5+ days when the breasts are not tender and as lumpy.
